Apply for a Nana Grant
Nana Grants issues one-year, renewable child care grants to low-income, single student mothers who are attending a HOPE-eligible college or qualifying job training program in Georgia. We pay the childcare provider directly on the mother’s behalf for full-time, before school, after school, or summer camp child care depending on the needs of the family.
Qualifications
Nana Grants applicants must be:
- A single mother
- Low-income (Pell-Eligible)
- Pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in a qualifying job-training program
- Enrolled in or accepted to a HOPE-eligible Georgia college or university or qualifying job training program and maintaining a 2.0 GPA or equivalent
- Making satisfactory academic progress, including completion of at least six or more semester credit hours per semester
Other Selection Factors:
- Clarity of school/career goals
- Progress toward meeting those goals
- Future plan for meeting those goals
